Students review machine terminology, safety protocol, and operation before addressing recommended procedures for preventative and essential maintenance of Heian routers. Course learning addresses machine leveling, mechanical repairs, calibration, vacuum pumps, pneumatics, lubrication, spindle motor theory & repair. Manual operation of machine in MDI mode. Correct procedures for spindle motor & vacuum pump replacement or repair. FANUC diagnostics. Correct maintenance procedures. How to troubleshoot basic machine problems. Electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
