Q. Where are classes held?
A. Stiles University offers regularly scheduled courses in all of our locations. We schedule classes approximately 3 months in advance so that we can remain flexible to conduct training when and where it is needed.
Q. What should I wear to class?
A. Individuals should wear casual, comfortable clothing suitable for classroom and working with equipment.
Q. How will I know if my registration is confirmed?
A. A confirmation document will be provided by the Stiles University Registrar.
Q. Do I have to bring a laptop?
A. For programming classes, students are encouraged but not required, to bring a laptop to class. When applicable, woodWOP software can be downloaded for training purposes.
Q. Will lunch be provided?
A. Stiles Machinery will provide morning snacks along with lunch & beverages.
Q. Do you offer recommended hotels?
A. Yes, hotel recommendations are provided in the confirmation document with special rates near Stiles offices.
Q. Does tuition include travel needs?
A. Expenses for travel, lodging and evening meals will be your company’s responsibility.
Q. How many employees from one company can be sent to a regularly scheduled class?
A. There is no limit on seats per customer. A 50% discount on a third student is a available. For more students, you may want to consider customized training.
Q. How do I find out if I have scholarships available for training?
A. Please email classes@stilesmachinery.com for information on scholarships and payments.
Q. Is installation the only training needed?
A. Training provided during installation is a great introduction to the machine. First-time machine owners are encouraged to attend formal training with Stiles University.
Q. How can I request a transcript?
A. Please request a transcript online or email us directly at classes@stilesmachinery.com with your request.
Q. Do you offer on-site training?
A. On-site customized training is available to help you meet your learning objectives. Please complete the customized training request form at the bottom of this page.
Q. What discounts are offered for training?
A. Stiles University offers 50% off the tuition of the third person from the same company enrolled in the same class.
Q. Is there on-line training available?
A. Yes, Stiles University offers online woodWOP webinars to bridge the gap between woodWOP versions.
Q. What are the requirements for Customized Training?
A. A quiet area for meeting learning needs which includes a projector, whiteboard and machine availability for demonstrations.

Training is a key factor in how your workforce grows and develops. It also empowers and encourages your employees to take pride and ownership in the work they perform for your company. Training directly impacts the quality of the product, improves efficiency of the production process, reduces downtime and extends the life of your machinery.
Use our grant library to find workforce development and retention funding
Stiles University has developed the grant library for workforce development and retention funding to help you find grant funding to pay for employee training at no cost. Through state and federal grants, many states and counties are awarded funding dedicated to workforce training and retention of employees. Our library provides direct contact information for agencies and funding sites. We’ll also provide the IACET certification documents and course descriptions that may be required by the funding agency. Upon course completion, Stiles University will provide each student with transcripts and certificates.
Funding may cover:
- industrial expansions, workforce hiring and training
- full student tuition or a matching percentage
- additional expenses such as travel and meals

Stiles University will be able to provide machine-specific training through our regularly scheduled sessions at our regional training facilities or at your manufacturing site. Training is available for programming, operation, maintenance, and electrical diagnostics.
