Gluing & Fanning
Once your veneer has been clipped and spliced, gluing the veneer to the substrate is fairly straight forward, but the process is made more complex by the need to control temperature and humidity in the application area for optimum adhesion. In addition, the glues, UF or PV-A, must be kept and applied at a specific temperature.
A glue pot cooling system is an option we recommend to prolong the life and consistency of your UF adhesives. Fanning, a feature of one KUPER FFM staggers the freshly glued and stacked sheet edges so that the sheet edges don’t adhere to each other as they dry. Once thoroughly dried the veneer on substrate is moved to trimming, typically the final process.
