Unlike traditional classroom studies, e-learning is a course or program where the students rarely or never meet face-to-face, nor access educational facilities, because they study online and/or with a computer. This approach offers many benefits, including elimination of travel expenses and reduction in lost labor due to time away from the job.
Computer-Based Training
Computer-Based Training (CBT) is a “Work at Your Own Pace” course that allows the student to increase their knowledge when their schedule allows. This type of training is available at any time and at any location with a multimedia capable PC. Stiles Education offers several CBT modules designed to advance the skills learned in the traditional instructor-led courses. Interactive exercises and simulations clarify topics and allow the student to practice skills and review critical concepts when needed.
Online Training Sessions (Webinars)
Online training sessions, or webinars, provide instruction on specific topics. All you need is a computer with an internet connection and phone to conduct an interactive course between the student(s) and the instructor. A typical online training session is a live, internet-based course. The instructor lectures and illustrates with examples while students complete exercises based on real production process. Students can ask questions during the session and the instructor will explain and demonstrate how to perform the tasks. Students can also participate in group discussions.
