Basic understanding of wood; we strongly recommend enrolling in the WD100 with this class

Course Description

This course will provide comprehensive instruction on proper setup and operation of knife grinding equipment. Identification and selection of proper tool grades for specific wood species and finish texture will be covered. Additional topics will include selection of grinding wheels and proper use of calipers and the Accu-Lok (TM) System to reference knife heads. Selection of steel grades for cutting knives along with management and organization of a productive tool room will be included. Models: All knife grinding equipment.
