Glue Pot Rebuild

It’s inevitable that sometime in the life of your edgebander you will need to clean the gluepot.  Over time, excess glue builds up in the glue pot. When your glue pots are clogged up the edgebander isn’t running at its optimum capacity and you risk impacting the quality of the processed parts.  To fix this issue, Stiles invented a revolutionary cleaning process to rebuild gluepots in 1998. Today, the company continues to perfect the cleaning processes to best serve their customers needs.

You have three options to receive a rebuilt gluepot:

  • Repair your original glue pot within two business days.
  • Exchange the worn glue pot for a clean, refurbished pot so you miss minimal production time.
  • Purchase a clean, refurbished glue pot so you have an extra one on hand and don’t miss any production time.

The remanufactured gluepot is sent out with a 90 day (40 hour a week/1 work shift) warranty.

Glue pot imageWhen the glue pot comes into Stiles E-tech's rebuild department:

 

  • The glue pot gets stripped and taken apart.
  • All parts, except heaters and wearable items (which are thrown away), get baked in the 800 degree oven with 1500 degree after-burner, so all contaminates and glue are baked off.
  • When cooled, all parts are sand-blasted, and then inspected.
  • Teflon is then sprayed and baked on to the remaining parts.
  • The glue pot is then put back together.
  • All wearable parts are replaced, such as brass, bearings, seals, heaters and probes.
