Planers

Raw stock may not be the exact thickness you require, or surface defects may need to be removed across the entire face of the stock. Planers are used to “shave” material from a panel until the desired thickness is achieved or the defects have been successfully removed. Planers are often paired in processing lines with jointers and small sanders.
