Jointers

Ironwood Jointer overview imageSince not all raw stock is perfect, jointers are used to ‘flatten’ and ‘straighten’ lumber, boards, and other woods. Face jointing removes bowing and twists in a part that is positioned flat on the machine table. Straight-lining or edge-jointing squares a board that is positioned on it edge on the machine table.

Jointers are very often paired in a processing line with a planer.
