The CryoKinetics patented abrasive belt cleaning not only reduces the replacement costs, but it will also increase productivity from not having to stop production to frequently change belts. The abrasive belt cleaning system, known as ABCAM 3.0, mounts directly on the sander to continuously clean the abrasive belts. The system utilizes small particles of dry ice as the cleaning media, which do not generate any secondary waste as they impact the surface to be cleaned at a high velicty and then immediately convert from solid into gas. In addition, the ABCAM's data is available for management review in Excel and many other formats for any combination of periods, shifts, product and sanding heads. The real-time information can help to immediately evaluate the operator's compliance with the belt cleaning schedule and procedures as well as to assess attainment gas for extended abrasive life, actual abrasive use and cost per unit.
