I changed the batteries in my Digit L display for the crosscut fence, and now it will not work. The display reads a number starting with U (ex. U13.08A).
The newest Digit L has a safety feature that prevents it from being used if power has been lost. If power has been lost for any reason, the software version number will be displayed (e.g. U13.08A) and the unit will not operate. To bring the unit back to a useable state, move the it to the stop (as far as it will go to the right near the saw blade). Now push the F key and the RESET key simultaneously. This action will reset the dimension displayed and restore all functions. The unit will now be useable, but remember to check the accuracy of the dimension displayed.
