Heesemann BM-8

For greater feed speeds while maintaining a smaller workpiece minimum length and perfect sanding coverage, the BM-8 brush sander comes standard with the R-U-T head as well as two drum brush heads rotating in opposite directions and angled to the work surface. The machine produces the finest veneer finishes on profiled parts and lacquer sanding on the most intricate profiles. The combination of disc and drum brush heads makes quick work of profiles, and when used in conjunction with the widebelt sander for flat panels, hand sanding is now virtually a thing of the past. Heesemann R-U-T Brush Unit

Today's marketplace demands a brush sander with rapid feed speed and equal sanding coverage on all edges. Heesemann, with their new disc brush head design, has finally been able to accomplish these goals with a single sanding head.

Heesemann's new R-U-T head has 19 rotating discs that move in an oval path perpendicular to the feed direction. To guarantee superb coverage while maintaining a uniform scratch, the sanding discs meet the workpiece edges continuously from two opposite directions, while the rotation of the discs via a single drive ensures that they all turn at the same speed and sand the same amount.  The path and speed of the sanding discs is infinitely adjustable with the use of frequency inverters.  Designed to be modular, the R-U-T sanding head can be part of any Heesemann widebelt sanding machine or as an integral part of the Heesemann BM-8 brush sanding machine. More
