Panel Sizing

The Holzma HKL 380 combiLine challenges conventional saws with cutting and routing in one machine. Essentially the combiLine is the Holzma HKL 380 profiLine angular saw that includes an additional router unit. This combination addresses the needs of high-end, batch-size-one manufacturers.

The combiLine system saves 4% to 6% in yield, with automatic configuration for recuts. The router creates a stair step pattern on one edge of a strip, while the second edge is cut straight with the rip saw. By shifting the recuts to the rip saw, the work is balanced between rip saw and crosscut to increase yield and throughput.

The new Power Concept enables Holzma 380 series panel saws to crosscut different strips to different part lengths in the same cutting cycle at cutting times reduced as much as 40%, driving down costs and lead times. More

Enabling higher cutting speeds, greater throughput and longer blade life, the innovative mineral cast base on the Holzma 500 series panel saws is three to four times more rigid than steel, dampens vibrations better than cast iron, reduces noise emissions, and provides a much more stable platform for panel cutting for high-volume applications. Using a precise camera and vision software, Holzma's optical scoring saw adjustment system automates the adjustment of the scoring saw to the main saw on Holzma 500 series electronically controlled panel saws--reducing the operation to seconds, gaining precious cutting time.
