District Sales Manager - Eastern Pennsylvania & New Jersey

We have an excellent sales opportunity in our North East Sales Region. The District Sales Manager;s territory will be Eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

The District Sales Manager will be responsible to plan, implement and direct a sales strategy for the assigned territory. A person in this position is a knowledgeable salesperson with 2+ years of successful sales goal achievement in the panel processing industry or equivalent. The individual must be capable of obtaining maximum sales results from the dealer(s) present in the assigned territory.

Principle duties and responsibilities include:

  • Understand the market dynamics in a dealer territory and develop sales strategy plans that promote growth and meet customer expectations. The plan should reflect the need to meet budgeted sales goals and maintain across-the-board selling of products.
  • Gain technical and marketing knowledge from the divisions the DSM represents and ensure follow-up on all sales leads.
  • Assist, mentor, and train the dealer personnel involved to obtain maximum sales in the dealer territory.
  • Make major local impact on market conditions by developing close relationships with dealers and customers.
  • Maintain and improve relations and sales growth at "key" accounts and territory serviced by the DSM.
  • Report to management the structured improvement needs of dealers on a regular basis.
  • Ensure territory goals are consistent with regional and corporate goals.
  • Assist with local trade shows, dealer open houses and other opportune events.

Field Service Representative - Great Lakes Region

We are seeking several Field Service Representatives experienced in the maintenance and repair of high technology, high production machinery for the Great Lakes territory, which would include Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. The Great Lakes home office is in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the ideal candidate will live within driving distance to the Grand Rapids office.

The Field Service Representative is responsible for installing machinery sold by the company and assisting our customers in the resolution of problems they may encounter.

Principle duties and responsibilities include:

We are seeking a Field Service Representative experienced in the maintenance and repair of high technology, high production machinery for our North East Region.

The ideal candidates will live in Northern Virginia or Maryland. Candidates who are open to relocation will also be considered.

Principle duties and responsibilities include:

  • Install and service all equipment represented by the company
  • Assist customers in the resolution of problems they may encounter
  • Identify and correct hardware failures, software discrepancies or programming problems
  • Instruct on proper use regarding applications, operation and maintenance
  • Provide telephone consultation for customers and Stiles personnel with problems on our equipment; recommend corrective action and troubleshooting approaches
  • Assist in training other Stiles personnel such as Associate Field Service Representatives, other Field Service Representatives, and the customers in the use, operation, adjustment and proper maintenance procedures for our equipment.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Mechanical, electrical/electronic skills
  • Experience with computers, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Experience in the woodworking industry a plus
  • Completion of field service training program or prior experience in N/C or P/C service/maintenance or maintenance/operation experience on woodworking machinery.

Regional Technical Support Specialist

The Regional Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing first level support to customers and other support personnel within the Northeast Region. The Regional Technical Support Specialist is also responsible for working as a direct liaison to our Grand Rapids, Michigan technical support team. Candidates must possess a high technical aptitude and a desire to overcome adversity. Knowledge of either the Homag or Weeke product lines is a definite plus.

  • Assist Parts Department with technical issues
  • Teach details of machine specific controls and PLCs

  • Two years electronic technical school or equivalent equipment experience (Associates degree preferred)

Stiles Machinery Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer for the state of Oregon for our Stiles Shop Solutions Division.

Principle duties and responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrate consistent sales abilities through meeting objectives set by the company
  • Maintain current and accurate customer and prospect records/profiles to enhance our ability to create and maintain sales relationships
  • Monitor, document and report on any situations to improve sales, installation or after the sales processes.
  • Demonstrate exceptional product and service knowledge to provide exceptional customer service
  • Keep fully abreast of new products or product applications that can support our company and customers
  • Coordinate customer visits to showrooms and conduct/arrange product demonstrations.

Qualified candidates will have:

  • Capital equipment sales experience in engineered wood, solid wood and composite panel processing
  • Strong technical sales experience within an extended sales cycle environment
  • Ability to acquire new customers, retain/maintain current customers
  • Ability to work within several levels of the customer's organization
  • Outstanding presentation, verbal, and follow-up skills
